JA Foundation joins the Crusade against Chronic Kidney Disease.
CKD ,labelled as a Life Style Disease,is a most dreaded disease of modern times as there is no cure for end stage CKD. Presently there are only 2 methods to prolong the life of an End stage CKD patient ie Dialysis or Transplantation .Both are very expensive procedures and normally can't afford to an average income family. Foundation has realized this hard truth very early and initiated a war against Kidney diseases by propogating information through awareness classes,and leaflets.Financial help was extended for treatment through dialysis and transplantation.Dialysis M\cs were donated to various hospitals like Jubilee Mission, Amala, and LF Hospital. Besides , we are freely distributing 1000 nos dialysis kits every month through our Kerala Branches.Of late ,Foundation donated a brand new dialysis M\c to St .Joseph's Hospital ,Veluppadom ,a remote village at Thrissur Dist. at the bottom of Western Ghats near Chimminy Dam
The m|c was blessed by Arch Bishop of Thrissur, Mar Andrews Thazhath on Friday 19th March '21. He also presented a memento to JA Foundation at the function . .Immediately after the blessing ,dialysis started for patients who had already booked for the procedure. The Mother Supirior Sr. Sophy opined that the support from Foundation will be a great blessing to the Kidney Patients living in and around the village.
