Unity is Strength
It is an old adage that 'Unity is Strength'. It requires no explanation as it is our daily experience in life. Recently, Joyalukkas Foundation joined hands with St Vincent De Paul Society, Perincherry for providing support to marginalized poor who do not have a house to live. Vincent De Paul Society managed to own a piece of land sufficient to construct a few houses. Joyalukkas Foundation offered to construct 6 houses for the homeless families. Under the strict supervision of the construction wing of Joyalukkas Group, the work progressed fast and the houses were ready by the close of the year 2023.
The House warming ceremony was fixed on Sunday 21st Jan. 2024. Mr. Joy Alukkas together with Mrs. Jolly Joy Alukkas cut the ribbon and inaugurated the ceremony, followed by Consecration of the brand new houses by Rev Fr. Varghese Koothur, Financial Officer, Thrissur Archdiocese. There was a public function chaired by Mr. Jose Manjaly, President St. Vincent De Paul Society, Thrissur ArchDiocese.
Mrs. and Mr. Joy Alukkas performed the Key Handing Ceremony by entrusting the keys to Mr. Anson Puppadi, President, Vincent De Paul Unit, Perincherry Inaugural Address was delivered by Fr. Paul Thanikkal, Vicar , Sacred Heart Church, Perincherry. Mrs. Jolly Joy Alukkas delivered a spiritually inspiring speech. Fr. Davis Pulikkottil, Fr .Asst. Sacred Heart Church, Sri. P P. Jose, Chief Coordinator etc. offered felicitations. After the thanks giving speech there was a sumptuous dinner for all participants organized by local Vincent De Paul Society. Sri. Henry George Chief Operating Officer, Joyalukkas was also present on the stage.
